The Resmed Swift Fx’s interchangeability quotient: Real or a Imagined? Part One

The Resmed Swift Fx’s interchangeability quotient: Real or a Imagined? Part One

Who would have thought of Resmed’s Swift Fx getting this much attention?

How much attention?

Grab a seat.

Let’s chat.

There is a Resmed mask that doesn’t mind you mixing and matching.

Resmed’s Swift Fx.

Yes, we had call it by name twice.

This little powerhouse of a mask can be converted into several other varieties with relative ease.

In fact, part one in this brief Resmed Swift Fx video series outlines one easy and quick wardrobe change that refuses to malfunction.

Here it is:

And the modified Video Transcript is below:

We’re going to show you how this simple little mask, the Resmed Swift Fx, changes into different masks. Today, we’re going to change the Swift Fx into the Swift FX For Her. Here we go.

First, we’re going to take the front tubing assembly out of the front of the cushion. The cushion shown is the medium. Even though the mask comes ready to use with a medium size cushion, in its place will be the small size, which is part of the Swift Fx For Her nasal pillows package.

Let me show you how I did this.

I pulled the soft square out from the opening square, replaced the medium with the small. The soft squares of the small size nose cushion insert into each open square. The front tubing has its own pink circular frame which inserts into the small cushion. Once in, the tubing should swing freely, circle three hundred sixty degrees, and float inside its socket.

After this, the pink Velcro strap inserts where the blue one once was. Once together, the adjustable portion of the headgear wears atop the head and the pillows are assigned to be worn within the nostrils. The S portion (or size indication) should be outwardly exposed on the external part of the nasal cushion.

The Velcro adjusts to the back of the head while the soft plastic strap above pulls inside the plastic housing and holds in place.

Optional comfort is provided by the pink slip covers that go over the soft rubber side bands of the nasal mask.

This is now the Resmed Swift Fx For Her.

In the next segment, we will turn the Resmed Swift Fx For Her into the Swift Fx Nano.

Part Two of this series is here.

  1. Ideally it would be great if someones could try out this Resmed Swift FX before deciding if this CPAP nasal pillows. A mask that works perfect for someone might not necessarily work for you.
